The recent victim of facebook friendship is Mrs. Janet Nnenna Ogbonnaya,  a 55 year old widow and mother of 5 who unsuspectingly fell in love with a 38 year old scammer, Johnson Emmanuel and ended up being murdered for a reason yet to be ascertained. Sources said aside being gruesomely murdered; the Ozuitem, Bende LGA of Abia State born businesswoman also had her remains dumped in an abandoned septic tank to conceal the dastardly act. Not done yet, sources hinted that the murder who was assisted by two of is brothers identified as Messrs Gideon Emmanuel 31, and Success Emmanuel 27, also conspired together and had the particulars of the deceased’s Highlander Jeep changed to bear the names of the facebook friend, Johnson Emmanuel after repainting it to a different colour and fled to their village in Isiekenesi, Ideato LGA Imo State; all in a bid to totally conceal evidences of their crime.  But Police detectives attached to the DCP Abba Kyari-led Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team IGP IRT were as usual, on ground to unravel the crime. A statement signed by the Force public relations officer, DCP Frank Mba and made available to CrimeWorld  which confirmed the arrest of the three killer brothers said the journey that led to their arrest, discovery of the septic tank where the widow was dumped after she was murdered and eventual exhumation of her remains started with a kidnap complaint from one Chinedu Ogbonnaya, one of the children of the deceased. Chinedu according to Police sources, had complained that her mother had been kidnapped from their Gwagwalada, Abuja home adding that the kidnappers had contacted them and were demanding for a N5 million ransom.  The statement reads in full: “Police operatives attached to the Intelligence Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested 3 suspects namely; Johnson Emmanuel – 38 years, Gideon Emmanuel – 31years and Success Emmanuel – 27years for the kidnap and gruesome murder of one Mrs. Janet Nnenna Ogbonnaya on 14th May, 2020. The suspects, born by same parents, all male and native of Isiekenesi, Ideato LGA of Imo State were arrested by the Police in their home town where they had taken refuge after committing the crime in Abuja, in order to evade police arrest.  Investigations that led to the arrest of the suspects is sequel to complaints received from one Chinedu Ogbonnaya who alleged that his mother, Mrs. Janet Nnenna Ogbonnaya, 55years, native of Ozuitem in Bende LGA of Abia State had been kidnapped and a 5-Million naira ransom demanded before she could be released. A comprehensive and painstaking investigation by the police operatives resulted in the arrest of the 3 suspects, whom, in the course of interrogation, revealed that the victim had long been murdered and buried. Further findings revealed that the victim, a widow, who had been a Facebook friend of the principal suspect – Johnson Emmanuel, was lured from her home in Gwagwalada to visit the suspect. The suspect thereafter took advantage of the visit, served her yoghurt laced with drugs and subsequently had her murdered. The suspect having killed the victim and buried her remains in a septic tank, went ahead to reach out to the family of the victim using her phone and demanded 5-Million naira ransom as pre-condition for her release.
