
Oyo State made history on Saturday, 13 June, 2020 when it discharged 95 recovered coronavirus patients, the highest in a day by any state in the country reports The Gazelle News.com.
This medium also reports that the state had earlier discharged 64 recovered patients 24 hours earlier on Friday, 12 June, 2020.
In 48 hours, Oyo has discharged 159 recovered patients bringing its total recovery rate to 271.
The good news was broken on Saturday by the Governor of the State, Seyi Makinde through several tweets on his official twitter handle.
According to Governor, 35 new cases of infection were discovered bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo to 469.

1. 95 confirmed COVID-19 cases have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 271. https://t.co/FMqqzN1enG
2. Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for thirty-five suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Ido (7), Ibadan SW (5), Ibadan North (5), Ibadan NW (5) Oluyole (3), Ibadan NE (3), Ibadan SE (3), Egbeda (3) and Ogbomosho North (1) Local Government Areas.
