The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Anambra state Command has rescued a middle aged man knocked down by a shuttle van in Anambra State.
According to RC Pascal A. Anigbo, Sector Public Education Officer, “At about 10am today Monday 15 June, 2020, a middle aged man trying to cross the expressway opposite FRSC Command at Nteje, along Nteje-Awka expressway, was knocked down by a Shuttle Bus with enlistment number AGU241ZW driven by one Alex Ifedianya. A total of Nine persons (7 make adults and 2 female adults) were involved in the crash.”
Anigbo said the victim who sustained some degree of injury was rushed to Chira Hospital Awkuzu, for immediate medical attention by the FRSC rescue team from Nteje Unit Command.
The vehicle and the case was later handed over to the Police at the Divisional Headquarters, for further investigation.
The Sector Commander in the State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi, admonished road users to be safety conscious while using the road. He also advised drivers to always drive defensively, to avoid unnecessary road mishaps.
